A number of exciting and interesting events are taking place this year, starting this month. Details are shown below. In addition, we'll be having a stall as usual at UNISON's National Health Conference, 25-27 April in Brighton, so do come and say hello! We are also very excited that two Nicaraguan trade unionists will be visiting in June and speaking at our AGM on 18 June as well as attending UNISON's National Delegate Conference. Friday, 15 April: LONDON. Book launch of ‘Rosa of the Wild Grass - The Story of a Nicaraguan Family’ by Fiona Macintosh. 6:30 - 9:00 pm at Lumen, 88 Tavistock Place, London WC1H 9RS (Kings Cross & Russell Square tube stations), The book, covering the Somoza period up to 2013, is based on transcripts of interviews with three generations of women from the same family. It’s an extremely vivid account of the history of this period through their lives. Fiona will introduce the book and Charlotte Cornwell will read extracts. Followed by food and wine.
