Nicaraguan trade unionist to speak at international seminar in Birmingham

UNISON's West Midlands Region will be holding a one day seminar - 'Solidarity Breaks Chains' on Saturday 30th September from 9.30am - 3.30pm. The seminar, which will focus on the promotion of international solidarity, will take place at the UNISON Office, 24 Livery Street, Birmingham and lunch will be provided.

Speakers at the seminar will include Mercedes Sanchez, Women's Officer of the higher education (administration) union FESITUN, who is visiting the UK at the invitation of the West Midlands Region. The line up also includes speakers from the Burma Campaign, Zaytoun (Palestine), Banana Link and Labour Behind the Label.
