Earthquake Appeal raises £4000 for Nicaragua

Thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters, we have been able to send £4000 to the Nicaraguan health union FETSALUD to provide assistance to those of their members who were affected by the earthquakes which took place in April this year. The money will go towards repairing, and in many cases rebuilding, members' homes which were either severely damaged or totally destroyed. The photo shown is of Coralia, a single mother with three children who has so far been unable to carry out any repairs to her home. The work will involve repairing the walls, roof and electrics of the house, and her toilet and bathroom will be replaced.
